In 2176, Phoenix—an eighteen-year-old raised far from Earth by the scientist Willa—is secretly the most powerful superhuman in the galaxy. Disguised as an ordinary space courier, he travels to Earth to discover why his parents abandoned him as a sick newborn. His search leads him to the powerful Roy family, where he befriends the fearless ice-wielder Kelly and feels an inexplicable connection to her mother, Jennifer, while the family patriarch dismisses him as a worthless delivery guy.
